The Modern Slavery

Slavery is a common subject; you often hear on the news about human trafficking and child labour and how that’s the “modern slavery”. It’s true, and it’s a serious matter we should consider. But for me, the latest form of slavery is knocking right at your soul this very instant. The vast meaning of friendship, family… and love, all those beautiful matters included in this pretty fucked up society. Although in the end, the person I want to blame the most is my self, my own thought and my own emotion. We are slaves of prejudice, of the social norms, of our own culture, of our close one’s reaction and of our own feelings. Ah.. those damn feelings… the problem about them is that they don’t really exist in material form, you create them so you should be able to control them… but that’s not how they work. Those naughty bastards… they won’t listen.

“Then it’s just a matter of perspective” some may say…? I just hope it was that simple. That perspective is actually the roots of all problem… how people see you and mostly how you see yourself and feel so damn helpless about it. Soon, you’ll find yourself.. sinking in this vast ocean fully empty. FEAR. I would blame that bitch depression who fucks with everyone’s life… but then it’s just an excuse to put aside the fact that it’s no one’s fault but my own and I’m the slave of my own mind
